Fix Your Eyes on Jesus

Day 30

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit,

You are present in Your word, Jesus. As I turn toward these verses, prepare my heart, spirit, body, and mind. Let your presence flow from these words, through my pen, and into my heart. I love you, Jesus.

For to this you have been called, because Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example that you should follow in his footsteps.

He himself bore our sins in his body upon the cross, so that, free from sin, we might live for righteousness. By his wounds you have been healed.

For you had gone astray like sheep, but you have now returned to the shepherd and guardian of your souls.

1 Peter 2:21, 24-25

Jesus, our sin tore apart the world in which You meant us to live and separated us from You. So You had to come down and win us back again. We were like sheep without a shepherd, but now we are safe, loved, cared for, protected, and healed. Thank you for coming to seek us out, for finding us, and for saving us by giving of Your most precious body and blood.

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit,

Amen.
