Fix Your Eyes on Jesus

Day 3

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit,

You are present in Your word, Jesus. As I turn toward these verses, prepare my heart, spirit, body, and mind. Let your presence flow from these words, through my pen, and into my heart. I love you, Jesus.

The true light, which enlightens everyone, was coming into the world.

He was in the world, and the world came to be through him, but the world did not know him.

And the Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us, and we saw his glory, the glory as of the Father’s only Son, full of grace and truth.

John 1:9-10, 14

Jesus, when You first came to us, we didn’t recognize You. Your own people didn’t see and know You. You came into our world and You are here with us still. So often we don’t see and recognize You. We are too distracted by the chaos around us. Help us to seek and find You in Your word today. Open our eyes to Your presence around us and give us faithful hearts so we may fix our gaze on You.

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit,

Amen.
