Fix Your Eyes on Jesus

Day 28

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit,

You are present in Your word, Jesus. As I turn toward these verses, prepare my heart, spirit, body, and mind. Let your presence flow from these words, through my pen, and into my heart. I love you, Jesus.

Then Jesus approached and said to them, “All power in heaven and on earth has been given to me.
Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the holy Spirit,
teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, until the end of the age.”

Matthew 28:18-20

Jesus, You promised You would always be with us, even just before You ascended from this earth. You left us Your Word, Your Holy Eucharist, and Your Holy Spirit. You have all the power of heaven and earth. We can walk this earth knowing that we carry that power of Your Holy Spirit with us as we go. We are safe in Your care. Give us the courage to match that power so that we can bravely speak Your words and Good News with strength and confidence.

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit,

Amen.

Journaling Prompts

Jesus, I want to tell other people the good news, but I am sometimes held back by… (talk to Jesus about Your fears or worries, and listen to Him to let Him help you begin to overcome them).

Jesus, I feel like I am supposed to share your Good News with… (pray for a friend or family member that is heavy on your heart).

Jesus, Your word says You have all power of heaven and earth, and yet I still struggle to trust You. Help me to let go of my fear and trust you with… (area of your life that you are holding onto).
