Fix Your Eyes on Jesus
Day 27
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit,
You are present in Your word, Jesus. As I turn toward these verses, prepare my heart, spirit, body, and mind. Let your presence flow from these words, through my pen, and into my heart. I love you, Jesus.
Matthew 5:11-12
Blessed are you when they insult you and persecute you and utter every kind of evil against you [falsely] because of me.
Rejoice and be glad, for your reward will be great in heaven. Thus they persecuted the prophets who were before you.
Jesus, these words were another of Your promises to us while You walked this earth. Help us to remember Your words and hold fast to them in difficult times. Today, we are facing persecution on harm because we love You. We all are experiencing a separation from You as our churches remain closed and our restaurants are open. We long to be with You as a church body and to experience Your True Presence in the Holy Eucharist. Be in our midst when we cannot come into Yours as we desire.

Journaling Prompts
Jesus, I long to be able to be with the body of believers and to partake of Your True Presence in the Eucharist. Please open the way for us to return to Mass… (spend some time thanking Him for the blessing of His church, for His presence He left us, for the Eucharist, for anything that He has given to you.)
Jesus, it hurts to not be able to go to church. Please be with all who are experiencing persecution right now, particularly in countries where inability to freely gather to worship You is normal. Thank you for this experience that allows us to see and understand what our brothers and sisters in persecution face everyday. Open the way for all of us to love and worship You. (spend some time in prayer for the persecuted Church)
Jesus, I ask for You to guide the hands of our earthly leaders, and ignite in them a conviction to do what is right… (pray for our leaders, they desperately need it).
