Fix Your Eyes on Jesus

Day 23

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit,

You are present in Your word, Jesus. As I turn toward these verses, prepare my heart, spirit, body, and mind. Let your presence flow from these words, through my pen, and into my heart. I love you, Jesus.

Do not work for food that perishes but for the food that endures for eternal life, which the Son of Man will give you. For on him the Father, God, has set his seal.
For the bread of God is that which comes down from heaven and gives life to the world.”
So they said to him, “Sir, give us this bread always.”
Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life; whoever comes to me will never hunger, and whoever believes in me will never thirst

John 6:27, 33-35

Jesus, we long to experience Your presence in the Holy Eucharist today, and we are not able to. End this time without Your presence. Give us again the bread of life that comes only from You. Give us this bread always that we may never hunger and never thirst. Fill us as only You can fill us.

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit,

Amen.

Journaling Prompts

Jesus, in this pandemic time, without Your Holy Eucharist, I find myself missing You deeply. Today, I can find and feel Your presence… (where do you encounter Jesus today?)

During this time, my constant prayer is…

Thank You for giving us the bread of life, and for Your Holy Eucharist, even if I cannot have it today. I want to praise You today for Your presence, in both Your Holy Eucharist and in Your Living Word. (Spend some time praising Jesus for both today.)
