Fix Your Eyes on Jesus

Day 21

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit,

You are present in Your word, Jesus. As I turn toward these verses, prepare my heart, spirit, body, and mind. Let your presence flow from these words, through my pen, and into my heart. I love you, Jesus.

Peter said to him in reply, “Lord, if it is you, command me to come to you on the water.”
He said, “Come.” Peter got out of the boat and began to walk on the water toward Jesus.

Matthew 14:28-29

Jesus, even in our doubt, You meet us. When we finally see You, we want to have the faith to walk toward You on the seas. When there is nothing stable to stand on, we want to believe. But we can only find sure footing when we fix our eyes on You and not the chaos around us. Help us to fix our eyes on You.

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit,

Amen.
