Fix Your Eyes on Jesus

Day 18

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit,

You are present in Your word, Jesus. As I turn toward these verses, prepare my heart, spirit, body, and mind. Let your presence flow from these words, through my pen, and into my heart. I love you, Jesus.

Do not let your hearts be troubled. You have faith in God; have faith also in me.

John 14:1

Jesus, when You said these words, You spoke to Jews who loved God but didn’t yet know You. But somehow, I hear them speaking to me as well. I believe in God. But sometimes I forget that I need to have faith in You. In Your ability to truly cover and forgive my sins. You stand before the throne of heaven, bloody and broken, yet risen and whole, and You make an offering of Yourself to cover me. Your blood is sufficient to cover all sin. More than sufficient. Sin washed in the blood of the lamb leaves no stain. I cannot cling to a sin that does not remain after You have washed it away. Thank You Jesus.

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit,

Amen.
