Fix Your Eyes on Jesus

Day 17

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit,

You are present in Your word, Jesus. As I turn toward these verses, prepare my heart, spirit, body, and mind. Let your presence flow from these words, through my pen, and into my heart. I love you, Jesus.

This is my commandment: love one another as I love you.
No one has greater love than this, to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.
You are my friends if you do what I command you.

John 15:12-14

Jesus, we want to be a friend to you. So we need to be friends to one another. We need to love one another. Help me to lay down my life for my husband. Let me lay it down for my children. Show me how to lay down my own wants, needs, dreams, desires, and selfishness for the love of another. All I can hear from you is to take up my cross and follow you. Show me how to do that.

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit,

Amen.
